• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What would we call this color burst?

'"We" are not amused,' said the Queen!
Whatever.

As regards your initial question, though — were you specifically interested in hearing what other people think the guitar's color "should" be called, or did you instead want to know what its actual finish *is* (in other words, the finish name that Gibson actually designated the guitar as)? You had mentioned in your original post, for example, that the guitar was sold to you as a Bourbon Burst, but it is clearly not that. One thing that you can do relatively easily, though, is e-mail Gibson Customer Service, tell them the guitar's serial number, and ask what its finish color is. They should then be able to quickly indicate what actual color the guitar is. My own guess, as specified in my earlier comment, is that it's a Sunrise Tea Burst (which Gibson Custom previously referred to as Stanley Burst).

I don’t know… I think a lot has to do with the lighting and the photo. Here’s my 2017 Dirty Lemon. In some light it looks a lot like the OPs photo.

That sure is a beauty , both in color and figure . What's pretty wild to me is that your burst is given the Dirty Lemon color , the same as my 2018 Brazilian R9 which is my avatar photo as well . Yours has more red on the outer part of the burst . Colors from our favorite guitar maker are pretty fluid from year to year and that is for sure as seen clearly in the images .gibsoncs-59lp-brz-dirtylemonvos-98344-bf__wwg.jpg

So I contacted Gibson and was surprised at the promptness of the reply and (drumroll please!) "Sunrise Teaburst" it is! Thanks one and all for weighing in!
