Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Hi

Hi:
I took the leap on a 2015 True Historic 58 and am in awe of how amazing this guitar is. I'll post pictures later today. There is no comparison between it and my 2006 R8. The build quality is flawless, it feels perfect and sounds amazing. They are expensive but I think Gibson did a great job...
I loved my standard and classic and was happy until I started reading posts about historics. I got the bug and called Saul at CC to poke around. As always he spent quite a bit of time with me and was extremely helpful.
I ended up picking up both an R8 and an R9. I took these pics really...

I just pulled the trigger on a 1977 Les Paul Artisian. I always wanted one after seeing Dave Davies with the Kinks in the late 70's. I'll post picture as soon as I get it. Does anyone else have one or have experience with one, good or bad?
I pulled the trigger on a 2006 Classic - Honeyburst. It plays like a dream and feels perfect. The feel and sound are quite a bit different than my 2005 standard. The classic seems to have a bit more bite and the neck feels slightly smaller. I love both of them.
Her's a couple of pictures:
After reading many posts on this forum and after a lot of agonizing, I think I am ready now to install the pickguard on my new standard. The top is so beautiful that I am reluctant to install it but because of my playing I'm getting pick scratches.
I also do think that a LP just looks right...
Thank you forum members for making me aware of Centre City Music in San Diego!
I live on Long Island and have been searching for a new standard for months. I visited the larger stores (GC), and was not satisfied with what I found there. I found that every standard that I played was different...
