• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Any thoughts on this one (re-neck)? Presumably a full refin (if it is what it purports to be), as the top is nowhere near a tangerine-burst and the back looks faded but shows the same colour underneath the truss rod cover, where one would expect the red to be unfaded; the control cavity looks remarkably clean, with no evidence of any previous red finish/stain. Also, the tooling mark/lines (?) about half-way up the control cavity look unusual.

Broken link. Yes, you are right, not on Reverb any more.

Anybody has some fotos of that one?

I've seen that side tooling mark in various degrees in many cavities. The flash in the photo above may be accentuating it.

No where in the listing does it say that the GUITAR is a 59.

Maybe a reissue with some 59 parts.
No he doesn't, he's a real pro trickster aint he?
BUT he does say this:

"I have not re-finished it and have owned it since about 1960,"

Isn't that implying that the con artist is representing it as a 58-60 Gibson Les Paul? (Which it definitely is NOT)!

Here is one in Germany:

They say in the description that the guitar was celebrity owned - does anybody who was that celebrity?

9 0694 - Kirk Hammett owned it previously. This one was sold by Carter's Vintage in summer 2020. It was listed at that time for $275k. Now GP asking $360k US. The guitar is featured in BB IV.
