• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I love the feel of the knobs on my 2019 R6 and wish I had the same ones on my earlier 2014 R8…They have a small dent on top.The plastic seems smoother, more rubbery to me.I looked on the Gibson site but they only seem to have the same regular knobs that came stock on my older R8…

I found Montreux knobs but 80$ for plastic knobs seems high to me?Anyone knows where I can find similar/reasonably priced knobs? Or maybe even the ones they used on most recent custom shop guitars? Are those available to buy?

Cheers

Go for Montreux - they have the dent and are darker.

What? Do some have the numberers in the wrong order?
I’m not sure about the order or orientation per se, but I’ve bought bunk replacements before that just had painted numbers without the numbers being actually indented into the plastic on the underneath of the knob skirt, if that makes sense.

When the plastic is indented the numbers have a more 3D look and are easier to see, especially when a glare of light is striking the knobs.

But if'n they be upside under and backwards then youse can read 'em while you're upright!
My brain hurts from trying to visualize this, but yes I believe your hypothesis is correct. (y);)
