• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Current 1957 - 1958 Goldtops for sale...

Sorry for the delayed response...I haven't had much on-line time over the past few days.

It's a well documented...

...born overseas.

And before anyone asks, this will answer your next question (you can tell it's a fake because the script is a decal, rather than a silkscreen):

I don't see a problem with that headstock. That is as authentic as it gets.

It's definitely you...

Yeah, you could be right. When I first listened, I missed what he said he was running it through. I have a bit of a stumbling block, listening to Les Pauls through Blackface/type amps. :##

Blackface Fenders are pretty much the ONLY amp I've been putting my 57' GT through lately. :)
My 18watter gets NO love anymore...lol
Even though that clip was recorded just with a video mic, it captures the essence of that early PAF tone IMHO. I was amazed how similar sounding that 58' GT is to my late 57'.
