The truly, one and only, half crazed, monkey meat master of shameless self promotion and grandiose...Everything, Ted Nugent. You'll have to fast forward to about the 24 minute mark in to see him wang dang the burst. You're either a Ted fan or you're not...enjoy. Or not:dude:

I still want my $38 back from him for that garbage concert I paid for.

What a joke!

Someone needs to show him pictures of what knobs came on his "original" '59LP. I like some of his playing on the birdlands at high volume but I can only listen to the narcissistic ramble for a few min before I want to go shoot something.

Hmm, I think he succeeded! Ted is just another in a long line of performers who helped define the line between talent and showmanship. He had much more of the latter. When he swung in on a stage on a rope and loin cloth, he had your intention. That was worth $38 alone. In my opinion of course!

LOL. I remember seeing Ted blow away Areosmith in 75. He played a lot better than Perry.

Catch them on a good night and Ted with Derek St Holmes are a great R&R show.

There's something not quite right about carving your name into the back of any guitar let alone a vintage Les Paul.

In the 70's I thought Ted was great. He did a show I went to about 6 or 8 years ago
and he spent at least half the time ranting about his beliefs and insulting at least
half the audience.

AND NO GREAT WHITE BUFFALO!!!

So yes, I want my damn $38 back!

Back in the 70s which was his hay day I saw him and he spoke much faster on stage. Believe it or not he has calmed down a lot.

I liked his playing on the "White Buffalo" Byrdland.

Noticed Ted is starting to look a little old and paunchy. Then I realized I am too.

He never needed drugs, he was on some animal flesh high. I'm pretty sure what you see is what you get with the Nuge. Hey, give the dude SOME credit, he owns a '59 LP. I'll defer the details of exactly what kind of '59 to you aficionados.

In a world of phony, politically correct rock stars....I appreciate Ted's straight ahead personality.....in doses. :hee

Yeah, we have to tread gingerly here to avoid the dreaded, political rant. He almost seems a fish out of water even in a guitar discussion nowadays. But whether it was record label promo or something else, he had his 15 minutes in the R&R sun of the heyday. Most of us simply bought what we were sold. I'd like to believe I became more 'enlightened' sometime after Ted's tenure, but even now he's like the proverbial car wreck, you just want to look.

If you turn the cameras off ... Ted is a very nice guy and geek like us. There is the switch when the red light is on. I for one would love an audience with both of the wood branded burst. :salude

PS everytime I've met or did shows with Ted he has been super nice and great to talk guitars with.

Thanks for posting,
I really liked Teds lesson here-great rhythmic chord stuff, even SSb sounded pretty good on the 59,
A lot of early VH tone in there, think I heard a phase90 on slow a lot of the time.
cheers guys
