Picked this Squier up at a local pawn shop about a month ago... might be one of the best guitar deals I have every come across... whoever sold it to the pawnshop was either pretty good at fretwork & setups or paid someone a pretty penny to do the work. for some reason they took the trouble to remove the squier decal from the front of the headstock and put a fender strat on, I guess from a distance maybe you could fool someone? It is one of the Simon Neil models... plays really well, is light, resonant unplugged... everything you look for in a strat... + cheap... now I think I understand where Jack Pearson is coming from...
