• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Nicely filmed and it sounds great. Nice to have different camera angles. Favorited on my YouTube page. I saw it in Dallas in '07 but didn't get to play it.

I'll take the unpopular opinion here and say that I didn't really care for the sound on the video.
It's certainly very nice of the guy to show such a piece of history off like that. I enjoyed the video from that aspect, and liked hearing his stories of running into Peter Green and Gary Moore. Just thought that the Deluxe he was playing through was pretty hot and heavy and that kind of homogenized the sound a bit. The real uniqueness or "signature" of that guitar shines through a blackface Fender amp.
I'm nobody in the grand scheme of Burst-culture, but that's my opinion.

Phil seems like a nice fellow. His enthusiasm for vintage Pauls, and this one in particular, is obvious. He got some good sounds out of the guitar in different spots. Good enough to give me an idea of what the instrument has in it. (I mean what it sounds like with someone besides PG playing it.) And good enough for me to have spent 20 minutes living vicariously when I need to be getting some sleep.

Thanks for posting, CD!

Interesting, although I'd prefer to see it loaned to a museum for all to see...
