• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Back in the LP game. 50's Tribute incoming.

Just bought a used '10 LP 50's Tribute GT. Will have it this weekend.:peace2
Played several 60's models at GC but, wanted a '10 50's as it has a rosewood board.
The 60's neck is a bit too thin for my taste.
My GC doesn't have the 50's.

I've been without a LP for two years since I sold my last R0.
I really dug the Tribute guitars I've played.
Been GASing for a GT P90 LP for a while now.

Can't wait to plug it into my old JMP 2204.:headbange

Great guitars!!!!

I recently acquired a 60's Tribute GT. The neck did feel a little slim at first, but it's super comfortable and I can fly pretty well on it. What a looker and it ROCKS with my 2203 and '75 SL100. Oh, and it has a rosewood neck, not baked maple. Yes! :)

Got the badboy yesterday. Set it up to my taste, I like medium high action, and adjusted the pickups. Had to top wrap the strings on the tailpiece as they were touching the bridge after I tightened the studs down to the deck.
Beautiful rosewood board.
Pics will come later.

This guitar is badass!!! What a great sounding LP. The Gibby P90' are awesome. Not too hot or too mellow.
Blasted it through my JMP 2204 for a couple hours last night.
Killer!!!:headbange

Sounds great through my tweaked SF Vibrolux Reverb too.:peace2
Dare I say I actually prefer it's tone to the two R4' I used to own.:ganz

What Gibby calls a 50's neck on these is nowhere near a Historic 50's.
Mine is a comfy .847" at the 1st fret and .975" at 12th.

I measured a few 60's ones at GC and they were in the .82" range.

Gotta find a good hardshell case for it.
A gig bag for a LP? C'mon Gibby. WTF are you thinkin'?
Tack on $60 or $70 and give 'em the proper protection they need.

Wonder if a Zinc ABR would fit on these Nashville posts.:hmm
