• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The horror.

The horror indeed! Yes, I'd take a BFG in a heartbeat over that.

to change the pickups you have to take off that whole "pickguard"???

i guess that's cool if you hang it on the wall and see your reflection to see how big of a douche bag you are. just kidding of course.

It'll look better with the plastic off the mirror pickguard. I'm still baffled why the new century line is still in production though, I've never heard anyone buying one of these or a vegas either.

I believe thats the new Gibson "Non-Stick" surface. Think about perfect over-easy eggs cooked off the top of your LP.

Genius!!

If I picked one up cheap, I would take that pickguard off of there and with a little routing and sandpaper turn it into a proper BFG.

The problem there is that the mirror is set down into a routed-out top so it's flush with the edges. You'd have quite a bit of work to do.

I think that one still has the protective covering on the mirror finish. Back in the day I saw Motley Crue live, and Mick Mars had a tele with a mirror finish...it was cool to see the stage lights beaming off the guitar straight to the back of the arena.
