Oh man, I hope not... I got enough of that reading 11 pages of rage last night... however, that is a GREAT name for a burst! :salude

Looks awesome. The tuners look like toffee. Love a NGD, cleaning and setting up for the first time and making it your own.

Ground wire from the bridge pickup cavity?

Solder on the ground wires in the control cavity seem off. :hmm

Good eye, noticed a couple of possible solder anomalies as well.

Beautiful color on that one. Very plain top but appears bookmatched.

Great find Joe!... amazing so much color still left... they really did spray the cherry more into the center than I would imagine...

The photo of it with Joe and the other gentleman really has a "Donna" vibe (color, not figure).

Mystery solved! It’s a pickholder that was manufactured back in the day!

Look at the clip on the pickguard and then shoot yourself the bird in a mirror. I think you’ll figure it out then.:2cool

Can’t wait to hear the story on this one. When I first saw the thread I thought it said the Boscov’s burst. Anyone from PA would know what I’m talking about...

As much as Joe uses the volume and tone knobs, the holder will probably go right away? :dude:

I'm wondering how long its been on and what it has done to the plastic??:hmm

Looks like some old elastoplast there to keep it snug...would imagine the adhesive would leave a bit of a shadow if removed.

I'd leave it on, it's quirky.

Nice one Scott.

That silent 40 years has done no harm to it's voice whatsoever...

Play the paint off it in fine health Joe. :salude

that metal clip on the pickguard looks like one of those pick holders...looks like it's on wrong. Was one on the pickguard of one of my LPs. Sure is a beauty and as original as they come.

You can see where it was on my pickguard as it didn't fade the same or show the same wear as the rest of the pickguard under the tabs.
