Once was mine, now belongs to another Forum member:

1957 L-5 CESN thin body!

Mistakenly called a Goebel for years, it apparently pre-dates the Goebel L-5s. :salude

That is bloody awesome! I love minihumbuckers and have never seen them on a 50's style LP before.

Um, yes, the first Gobels appeared in 1958. Thus Tom's comment about the above '57 L5CESTN "pre-dating" the Gobels.

Thanks to the photobucket thing, I currently have to upload pics from my computer. One of my unusual Gibsons is a 1966 L5N custom-ordered with a Charlie Christian pickup. Coincidentally, my other unusual Gibson is a 1963 Gobel with paf's that were added long before I bought it.

70's Gibson Gospel Acoustic, laminated formed arch-back and laminated sides, but sounds surprisingly good.

Looks like it was marketed for the holy hippy crowd....

Wow- not sure how you did that, but thank you! If I copy the image url and try to open in a new tab (in Chrome on a Mac), I just get a re-download that I can open in our photo app (Preview). Can't open them in a new Chrome tab or window. But I'm over 60, so I ain't that tech savvy.

Maybe I'll upload my Gobel pics in a test thread too. I'm still annoyed about the photobucket thing, and haven't gotten around to re-upping all my stuff to a new sharing site.
