• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Thanks to all. By the way, I agree about 59gibson's guitar—that one is gorgeous!

I believe you need to post this in the proper forum. :lol
Man, your reply really made me laugh. I had no idea that posting a non-vintage guitar in the "Vintage Les Pauls" section of the Forum would meet with such disapproval. Looks-wise, though, I'd put my lowly reissue up against any tomato-soup sunburst 1960 Les Paul Model any day of the week!

There is no such thing as a "lowly" reissue... Don't buy into the fat-wallet hype. Your Lester is as much a real Les Paul as any other made. And it sounds great probably.

Some of the old ones were dead'r than a doornail... Don't believe me? Play "Southbound" by D. Betts... some of the crappiest, thinnest tone to ever be recorded on a Les Paul. No offense to Dickie, he is a hell of a player, he just used a dog rig, but then R9s were not available then...-LLL-

Think I'll duck now, I'm sure we'll be hearing from the "pearls-before-swine" camp momentarily...

No Gibson won't authenticate any of my Brazilians. They were all Custom ordered on the QT. But now that things have changed I can say something.
I have three of them and one is an 04' the one by my name...
