• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

That's 94804 right?

I wanted to get that one so bad...

How does it sound? How's the weight?

Yes...9 4804
I remember your comments on it in another thread. Here's the tone report I promised you buddy!

Of the ten or so Historics I've owned, this one is amoung the better sounding ones…if not the best. Unplugged, it sounds very lively and resonant. Not too bright…just right. Notes ring right up through the neck into the headstock.

It doesn't look quite that red in person...I guess my camera picks up a bit of red in the burst color. In person it's more like a dark ice-tea. The binding has that cool yellowish/vintage look from using more of a yellowish clear. All in all, it's a pretty darn nice Les Paul all the way around.

I don't know if this is a "monster top" but I consider my 03 R9 Braz to be a keeper.

Please explain ?

Let the naff quilted tops to PRS. A monster top in a LP is usually referred to those ninetees reissues with a wide, strong flame. A type not usually found on vintage bursts, but neither too far from them. Just on steroids.
