I'm glad this place is here!
Several questions come to mind about tuners.
My tuner is an old Seiko quartz tuner and on the top it has the number 430 then 440 straight up and 450 slightly past that, below the 430 is a -50,below the 440 is a 0 and below the 450 is a +50.Never figured out what the numbers mean.
Thanks for any info.

The -50 numbers are "cents". A cent is 1/100th of a half step, pretty sure.

And the 440 is the actual frequency. An 'A' vibrates at 440 cycles/sec. An 'A' an octave higher vibrates at 880 and so on. The 430->450 shows how many cycles/sec you're off.
