first off let me start off by saying that this website is a blessing to all gibson players. im only 18 and ive had a lot of people telling me to try all these cookie cutter guitars that are out nowadays but nothing will ever come close to a les paul or any other gibson for that matter. anyways heres my question. i have 2 gibson les pauls, one standard plus and one classic premium plus. now, both of them have duncan alinco II pro pickups in the bridge and neck. my standard plus was made in 99 and my classic premium plus was made in 91. my standard sounds powerful and thick but my classic sounds thin and weaker. so my question is, does my classic have different tone and volume pots than my standard ? if so can someone please tell me what volume and tone pots my standard uses so i can put the same ones in my classic ? and the gibson website forum was no help at all so any info is greatly aprecciated.
