• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

#8 1925 first ride - R8 Authentic

Uh yea !

Sound: sounds good
Play : plays good
Feel : broke in
Look: I'm a flatsawn/riftsawn fan, just what I like. Flatsawn back.
Color: Teaburst, perfect color for this axe.
Board/Inlay/Frets: Nice dark board, Inlays looking better these days, I belive I liked the bigger frets but after I get going it ain't that different.

I'm pukin' now.

Man I love this guitar!

" Take one last look....before you leave
'cause oh, somehow it means so much to me
and if you ever need me, you know where I'll be
So please call home if you change your mind
Oh, I don't mind

I guess I saw it comin'....day by day
but oh, I could not stand the failure
before you leave there's just one thing I must say

Please call home if you change your mind
oh, I don't mind

and I know that you're used to runnin'
oh your lost baby, and I aint funnin'
but oh, when you call to me, well I'll come runnin'
safe to your side.....again I'll confide....in you

So go on, I won't sat no more
my heart aint in it, but I'll hold the door
but just remember, what I said before

Please call home....if you change your mind "

Gregg Allman

I doubt he was singin' it to a guitar......but I am! :dude

Thanks folks ! I am a happy camper. They all sound good --- but I've got a 94 R7 GT that keeps coming back as the sweetest tone, especially in the neck. They all have stock P/U , thinking of trying something different with the 97-R8 -- the bridge smokes but the neck is harsher than the others and it has my favorite top.

Howard -- I'll put it in my will for my estate to call ya. ;)

Thanks again to Mr. Goodwood. (and the Mayor) as both gave good references to the axe. (and were on the money)
