Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Gibson's Custom Shop builds the best 335's 5 days a week. If you don't mind it saying something else other than Gibson on the headstock, then there are master luthiers like Vaschenko, Yaron(I don't know if he still does), and McKay who I have heard build great 335 style guitars.
As others said, the only place to get an ES335 is from Gibson.
That said, most manufacturers make a similar guitar. If you're not stuck on the Gibson logo,
I might suggest The Heritage. IN fact, their 535 model may be more Gibson than Gibson, since they're built in the former Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI, on the same machines etc.
