• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Can anybody ID mystery bridge pickup in my '76 LP Deluxe?

I've recently got myself a cool '76 Deluxe which has been routed for humbuckers years ago. The neck pickup is an old Dimarzio (probably PAF), but I can't put my finger on the bridge pickup brand. It sounds 490-ish, but that doesn't match the visual specs of the base plate and bobbin. It also has coil tap switch just for the bridge pickup. What really intrigues me are little square holes on both sides of the bobbin. I haven't seen this on any mainstream pickup yet. The pickups are definitely 25-30 years old, or older.

The brass plate and the lead wire remind me of real early DiMarzio's

Yeah, looks like. Tell us the colors wires in the back route and measure the resistance with a multimeter.
