Hi fellow Les Paul aficionados.
I need some advice, please.
I am looking to sell a 59 style reissue guitar.
The following is what I know about it.
1. It's a Jimmy Wallace Les Paul.
2. The truss Rod cover is engraved "Jimmy Wallace model". The words "Jimmy Wallace" are in a script-type font.
3. The pots codes are from 1993.
4. The serial number is 9 ****.
5. The pickups have 'Patent Applied For' on the back.
6. The neck cavity says HCSB (or Heritage Cherry Sunburst)
7. It is a virtually unused tomato burst, in superb condition, with a light flame, going from gold in the centre of the body to a ruby red on the outside.
It is definitely a kosher guitar. I bought it around 2004 from a musician who had wanted to invest some of his earnings, and he had bought this guitar locally AS an investment. He told me that it had stayed in its case under the bed in the spare room for most of its life. I could see that from its condition. I have kept it in its case since I bought it.
Can anyone please advise me:
1. where I am best selling it
2. how much I should be advertising it for.
I have seen Jimmy Wallace guitars go for anything between around 4k to 16k USD.
I don't really know where to start with this particular guitar.
Any help would be much appreciated, please!
