• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

how did they make the les paul model decal on the headstock for a 1953?

I am rebuilding a 1953 les paul that was converted in the 60s. I am getting ready to finish up the logo work and I have a decal that I can paint with gold top paint. I dont have a silkscreen and don't see one online to buy. I have a frisket that I can paint with gold paint. Its the right font and size etc..

Just wanted to get some advise and confirm here.
thanks!

They used a regular silkscreen in a small frame.

I have a pdf of the artwork that is very accurate. I had a local screen company make me a screen on one of their old ready to retire screens that they sold me outright. Usually screen companies keep and reuse screens
