For sale one of the most sought after and collectable R9 ever made, this is one of the first 200 Les Pauls 1959 Reissue that Tom Murphy painted at the origins of the Art and Historic Division at Gibson before he left at the end of 1994.
The 1994 R9´s that are painted by Tom Murphy are on the most collectible Les Pauls runs EVER, and this one, as you can see, is in an amazing condition with a killer super flamed top at the true style of the originals 1959 burst that is GORGEUS from every angle you look at it. These are super rare to see for sale as there are only 200 and most of people don´t sell them. Don´t get wrong with all the new Murphy reissues, etc....this is the first one ever, the real thing
It is in near, almost mint condition, just a very light scratches in the back, only in the finish that are almost impossible to see / photograph unless tilting the guitar against a light and a couple of minimal dings in the back also that you must search to find. The top and rest of the guitar is inmaculate. This is a +25 years guitar, so the condition can only be described as EXCELLENT
Pics don´t do it ANY justice, really, tried to shoot some pics outside, but still....the beauty of this top can only be appreciated 100% when seen in person.
This is a true collectors item, not to mention that it is an AWESOME instrument, playability and tone are top of the notch, these firsts Custom Shop Historics guitars were made when this was the top of the line in Gibson, and the woods and craftmanship is just amazing. The wood in the fretboard is absolutely beautiful, and the neck feels just like a 1959 Les Paul neck should feel.... HOME!
This guitar was built in October '94 (just a month before Tom Murphy left Gibson) and it was one of the orders from Yamano, the legendary store in Japan that usually got the best guitars. You can see why this one was specially picked by them and why the "Yamano" selected Gibsons are so appreciated.
Includes the original brown Gibson case with the pink interior and also all the case candy, tags, Yamano tag and Gibson cloth. There is no COA as they were not issued back then.
Price: 8500,00 Euros / US$9900
Ships bombproof packed to anywhere in the world and fully insured.
