• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me what the thickness is of the original trussrod covers for late 50s Les Pauls? (.060" or .068" perhaps?)

There's a guy on another forum that has a 52 Les paul with .064" TRC.

Thanks a lot.

Thought I'd bump this one last time - For any nice late 50s burst and micrometer owning people; who may have some time on their hands this weekend. :)

This is important because?

This is important because - I'm interested in finding out if there's a way to determine whether the one I have is a real late 50's TRC or a replica. I was hoping that perhaps there was a consistent thickness of the originals...

Do you have any helpful information to contribute?
