• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

A cool picture of vintage Les Pauls - P90s!

From Ebay, never heard of the duo. It's a 45rpm.

Here's what the inside of the sleeve sounded like:

Tasty playing!

Mickey Baker also was apparently the source for this interesting Custom, with three volume pots and a master tone in the place of the toggle switch:

I am embarrassed that I did not know "Mickey" was in fact Mickey Baker.
(Never stop learnin'!)

A quick google brings me to a picture from Wikipedia:

Didn't Sylvia, in later years. become a leading force
in the birth of rap?

That's what Wikipedia says: "Sugar Hill Records was a record label specializing in hip hop music that was founded in 1979 by husband and wife Joe and Sylvia Robinson with Milton Malden and funding from Morris Levy, the owner of Roulette Records...The Sugar Hill label's first record was 'Rapper's Delight' (1979) by The Sugarhill Gang, which was also the first Top 40 hip hop single."

And yes, that's the same Sylvia Robinson, whose own Wikipedia page describes her as "The Mother of Hip–Hop."
