The "Golden Queen" of my collection: 1954 Goldtop "Lucky", a very "famous" Goldtop
Here is the " Golden Queen" of my collection:
1954 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop "Lucky"
Not only is an all original /untouched Gibson Les Paul Goldtop from 1954 in excellent condition, but also a very special and unique Goldtop with tons of history, since the guitar was previously owned by Master Luthier Terry Morgan (Singlecut 54 member here) for almost 30 years until he sadly passed away last april. He named her "Lucky" because, in it's own words: "I bought her before the prices went through the roof"
Terry Morgan is known worldwide for his Masterbuilt reproductions of Goldtops, Les Pauls Standards and Bursts, considered Top-Of-The-Line guitars and owned by very famous musicians, of which the majority were built to the exact specifications of this awesome Goldtop, that was used as baseline for all these guitars.
Hopefully, soon you'll be able to enjoy some eye candy pics of "Lucky" in the new book by Vic DaPra and David Plues "Goldtop Believers", which will be a great honor to Terry's memory.
Cheers!
