• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have to partially admit the sand paper thing at one point, Al. While leveling the broken binding at the arm side, sand paper slightly worsened the finish in that area. But most of the damage was in fact already there.

Oh brother. I'm glad you love her. Do you plan on keep digging on her? I would see myself having the top refinished. I've tried relicing on my first two guitars as a kid, and I mean, as a kid. Of course it turned out horrible, one I had to sell to a luthier who had it refinished and one I stripped myself, I still plan on refinishing it over a decade later.

it's funny, there's a lot of real mojo on your axe, but of course it wasn't enough

Maybe Rory relic'ed his guitar at his garage too, who knows?? :rofl
