<article class="message-body js-selectToQuote" id="js-XFUniqueId39" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 10px 0px 0px; font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.6;">I read about these before they were available. Being a fan of Mr Gibbons I was more than intrigued. They’re definitely pricey but there are more expensive pickup sets out there..
Mine is set #37. They’re numbered so one would think that there’s a limit on how many sets will be made.. but I haven’t read online that it’s the case..
the 7-38 strings that came with it will be kept as a souvenir lol I can’t imagine having .007 gauge strings. 9s are about as light as I can go.
I even added some historic rings while I was at it on my 2019 60s Standard...
are they worth the premium price? That answer will be different to everyone. They sound great and how they came to be is pretty cool as well..
Zach of Mythos pedals installed a set in his R9 and made a demo.
