MESA maintenance this morning from top to bottom. Everything including the fan. Got all the crud/dirt/cobwebs out literally.

Ive swapped 4 quads of 6L6's including a quad of Phillips STR-387 which sounded good but a little too glassy/boomy for my tastes and settled on on a quad of older Sovtek 6L6-WXT+'s that have a lot of life left. NOS Amperex Holland ECC-83's in da pre.

Tried a NOS GE 5751 in the PI but went back to an Amperex ECC-83, just hits harder & does what im looking for better.

Mike Bendinelli's initials are on my amp [top chassis by OT] im guessing he did final inspection.

Congrats! Sounds great! :yah

I'd get way too confused with that many knobs and switches! I barely can figure out an amp with five knobs and a power switch! :hee

Nice amp!

I've tried to get Boogie amps to work for me, but just can't seem to achieve the desired goal. Fender, Marshall, VOX, and Ampeg gets me there. As far as Boogie rack gear goes, my Boogie Quad Preamp was ******* awesome! Never should have sold that one.

I used/gigged one for years.....with a 1960 4x12 Marshall in bars......it was way too much..Things were different back then....the only pedal was a tuner...we all plugged straight into the amp.....pedals were not ubiquitous. and practical.....I was particularly enamoured with the clean channel...and the lead channel..this was over 20 years ago.....mine is still being worked on....they are very difficult..if you have issues..i'd send it back to boogie..one day I may get mine back...in the meantime i go thru a moyer modded vibrolux. The Rhythm 2 channel is very bassy.....so u need to adjust the EQ..THEN YOU HAVE THREE DISTINCT CHANNELS..and sounds you can switch to...That has some appeal..It is a very aggressive amplifier..85 watts.....and loud...It takes time to figure it...then you have triode and pentode...class A and simulcast...the reverb leaves something to be desired.....It's a lot of amp...i DXed the 4x12 long ago and use a THD..2x12.

Good man.
I have a Triaxis into a Marshall 20/20, a set up I've been over the moon with for nearly three decades. Covers all bases. Then a couple of years ago, the Laney/HH speakers, I'd been playing through gave up. Replaced with Celestion V30s...
Oh My Eric! Should have done it years ago...
For me, speakers are the pickup of the amp world... and cabinets are the pots/caps.
To the OP, nice setup.
