    R.I.P. Little Richard.

Richard Wayne Penniman, better known as Little Richard, passed away this morning.
The celestial band has a new frontman.
He'll be back with his former guitarist, Jimi Hendrix. Hoping the disagreements are passed.

RIP to one of the pioneers of rock & roll. I'm always nervous about getting a speeding ticket whenever the Beatles Channel on Sirius-XM plays "The Girl Can't Help It."

A sad day indeed. Little Richard was one of the greatest ever.

One of the early rockers that got my attention at a young age. A Giant. RIP

I think Little Richard was 100% Bad Ass. Take a YouTube ride and check out all the early stuff from the 50's = Rock N Roll. RIP.

I mean, where would Paul McCartney be without Little Richard?

Still an awesomely talented musician, but one who performs muzak exclusively?

    Re: R.I.P. Little Richard.

She's in her 30's now, but I'll never forget one day that my daughter came home from kindergarten in tears.

The teacher asked the class to each say who their favorite musical artist was.

All of the other kids said Britney Spears or the Backstreet Boys.

My daughter said "Little Richard," and they all laughed at her answer.

I was so proud. And later on, she realized how doggone cool that was.

RIP Little Richard. You were a trailblazer.
