NOS/NIB AMPEREX LABELED BLACKBURN MULLARD XF2 EL-34/6CA7 quad.

So SAYING "freakin amazing tubes" doesn't do these justice. They're like the Thoroughbred Race Horse of EL-34's. Secretariat no less. The Tungsol EL-34B's i been using last 10 years are great tubes but nothing like these. Bias on the Amperex/Mullards isn't as tight tolerance as the Tungsol but the Mullards are in a Galaxy or their own. And for what its worth todays concept of "matched tubes" is overblown in general. DEAD QUIET. Almost unheard of for a 56 year old set of power tubes. I can turn up the preamp gain higher with less noise & pedals don't have to work so hard to get really good gain. Midrange out da ying yang. Chimey/shimmer/articulate as a MoFo. If you have an old Marshall or similar there is no substitute. I know most folks cant drop $500 to a Grand on a quad of power tubes but i got this quad for $300 [2 matched pairs] and it only took me 15 years of looking LOL>
take my word .............. MY WORD THESE FUGGIN TUBES ARE GOOD !

So you've been huntin' them down since 2005..........congrats on finally getting what you were after

But I'd also go with TM1 and request a short 'clean' clip if you want to do one..........no prob if not of course.

Trying to figure out what model your amp is? JCM-800? Lot's of mods to that amp. Your work?

    1978 FRIEDMAN JMP 2203 Kitchen Sink modded. My A & B cabs are 1978 Marshalls with 25 watt G12-M Blackbacks 75hz.

Obeid Khan did the zero loss Metro loop & Chris Villani did the 6 filter cans/bias filters & rotary impedance switch. Khan & Villani both work for MAGNATONE here in town. Friends of mine.
Friedman did his work in 2011/Villani too. Khan did the loop last year. George's metro loop & all these amp guys are beyond amazing/outstanding.
Never ever had a problem/issue with this amp ever.

I'm not talking "Super Reverb" type clean, but about 1/2 the gain, more Billy G or Koss, Cream than total saturation. That's all. Just so I can hear the tonality of the valves.

Well its not a stock JMP so don't expect it to sound like one. You're not really asking the right question for this amp. Internet is full of stock JMP video's IDK why you expect one from me. Course you can always buy your own.

With all those mods, and effect pedals, you'll be hard pressed to "hear the tonality of the valves".....

    NOS....I don't hear no stinking' NOS......I can't hear shit!

....my ears are completely blown out ....after that show at Constitution Hall in 1972, when West, Bruce, & Lang demolished the house with their 3x stack/Marshall Super Leads!

    ...or was it 1973?

BJ30- I share your taste for old tubes, and thrill at the chase of NOS glass. It is hard to find stuff reasonably priced, but i have bought really expensive stuff to have it for my old Fenders ((old RCA 12AX7- black and grey). But to me the second you hit an amp with any sort of modulation (chorus, flange, phase) that NOS glass tone goes out the window.
I would like to hear a clip without that, and maybe without pedals. I want to hear the impact NOS tubes have on a modded Marshall.

Take what you want & leave the rest.

I want 60 Billion dollars but not going to happen.

I traveled 100 miles round trip to that practice space, have spent countless hours playing/shooting & downloading material to share.

My wife works from home & i have neighbors.

I made this video for myself & im pleased with the results. I have had overwhelming support.
