• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi guys,I'm Thinking of getting a Smokehouse Les Paul studio I recently sold a Les Paul Custom because it was too damned heavy to gig for 2 hours. I'm not as fit and healthy as I used to be (65) but need a Les Paul for the stuff my band plays. What do you think ?

Makes sense. Plenty of players use Studios often with changed pickups but this model has 57 Classics on board already.

Watch out for the wider nut width compared with previous years. If you're accustomed to the original LP nut width that might be a deal breaker.
