Hey all! So I was at my local Sam Ash today and came across this 2006 Les Paul TV Yellow DC.

I’ve tried to find information on these, but I can’t find anything.

It’s a DC and on the headstock under Les Paul it says “TV Yellow.” Just a volume and a tone with one P-90 pup as well. The body has an excellent grain to it as well. No binding.

Where these rare? Anyone have any information on these?

I'm digging that - depending on the pricing I would be very interested....
The grain looks different than most, though, is that korina or mahogany?

I'm pretty sure it's mahogany.

I don't think it's a custom shop or historic. The serial number is imprinted on the back of the headstock.

However, I cannot find another one anywhere on the internet like this one.

I was hoping someone here might have some more info.

Very cool USA model guitar.

The price should be under $1000, imho.

Great looking Junior. I don't recall seeing a USA model with a TV finish that shows the grain filler. Seems like they are usually a smooth yellow, or else the "faded" finish with no gloss coat.

What's it look like in the cavity? I wonder if perhaps it's a refin?

Here's a pic of the control cavity. Looks good to me. Complete with orange drop.

I have yet to find another 2006, or any other late 90' thru mid 2000'S, Gibson TV Model Double Cut like this one if it is a USA Production Model. The finish lends itself to heritage or CS style DC Juniors, but I just can't find anything close to this guitar made on the production like in 2006. Maybe some sort of limited edition or made for a specific market perhaps? Either way, it sounds and plays amazing and is certainly showing itself to be a rare bird.
