• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Anomalies exist in 3X5's too. My lefty ES-345 is from 1964 and the ears are more like MM ears, less pointy than reissues.
Mr. Legit, looking forward to seeing yours when you get it.

That is beautiful, play that rare beast in good health! Yes, the ‘64 from Wildwood sold the following morning. Gibson is closed until further notice according to what a couple dealers have told me.

that could very well be ..I’d sure like to see some more of these cherry dreams hit the dealers.

it would be interesting to know if it was on hold or if someone bought it and did a return

From what i can see in those pics the contours arent even as accurate as they were on the Memphis models. Horn blisters are less pronounced and the 'dishing/arching' of the top between the pickups and around the outside of the top is way less pronounced. I dont know what 64 model they 'scanned' for accuracy, but from what I have seen now on the first pictures are disappointing. After years of measuring and scanning and lasering blah blah, they havent lived up to their own hype yet.. I'm hopeful we will be able to get some updates from the Custom Shop folks who are making them and learn the facts..Either way, it looks like the only way i'm gonna get the real deal is to pay the doe and get a proper vintage one..sigh..

My god, that fretboard is HORRID! Not even worthy of a Chinese copy

Agree...that light brown fingerboard is just plain ugly. For that kind of money you expect much better.

For the past few years it seems Gibson has procured light brown, Grade B rosewood, not only for the USA line, but also the Custom Shop guitars.

It is possible to reserve a 2020 ES 3X5 at some dealers using a non-refundable deposit. Your credit card company may or may not be able to protect you should the dealer go belly up due to the Coronavirus shutdown. Stick to dealers that you trust.

I sure hope not my order was supposed to he ready this month. The place I ordered from is closed because this disaster so I am hoping and praying that nothing goes south. My guitar could be sitting in the shipping dock and I don’t know.
