Question About Tone Pot Wiper

What are the differences between grounding the wiper instead of the outer lug of the tone pot? I have a LP that is 50's wiring except the capacitor is soldered to the tone pot's wiper and the outer lug is grounded instead of visa versa. (I guess it's not really 50's wiring as such).
Is there a tonal difference?
Thank you!

No difference, the tone pot is wired as a variable resistor and it makes no difference which way round it is.
