Just popped a set of Sheptone Tribute PAF-style pickups in my extremely resonant and excellent playing 2013 Traditional. It's not that I don't like the Classic 57/57+ stock set, but I like others a bit better.
To this point, Seth Lovers were my favorite in this guitar, but I think the Sheps are better. Nicer neck clarity and a little more snarl in the bridge, without being "hot". I generally prefer Alnico 2, but the way these Alnico 5's are wound keeps them from being too mid-scooped and spiky on top. Very sweet.
See what you think..........into a Marshall Origin 50c with a little delay in front of it. Not too loud.
