• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Burst Husks?

Does anybody know how much a burst husk would cost? Like the golden years; 58-59-60. The recent candy apple red refinished burst that surfaced really sparked my interest in restoring an old body!

Work backwards from what a restored burst would sell for. For reference, there is a very flamey restored burst being sold for $140k. Parts alone are $20-30K. My math says you are in for $75k at least.

Then again, it's not like these things are walking around readily available.

IMO unless you're in the network you just might want to consider a complete guitar .

Wouldn't an original 57-58 goldtop ready to go be a sounder investment and get you in the game sonically? Or an original P90 goldtop? Wonderful guitars.

Needle in a haystack.........and it's a very large haystack and a very small pin.
If there are any Max LPs around buy one of them or alternatively any of the options as suggested above.
