    Name: Pudding (or Puddin’)

Because the proof of the Pudding is under that red finish!

    (Maybe?)

If that guitar is a turd it appears you are actually able to polish a turd.

Not a criticism but curiosity. Why did you opt to fade without red sunburst "shadows" under the parts?

Looked way worse than it was when Mingus saw it. It had some nails in it. They came right out. Minor break...not an issue now.

That's putting it mildly! It looked pretty abused and left-for-dead when I saw it and now its well on its way to being a stunner.

Great job on the resurrection to all involved.

Serios question out of curiosity: That refin process was really quick. Is that actually the time it took to finish LPs in the 50ies? I thought that lacquer finishes are very time intensive due to the repeated spraying, drying and buffing?

Living in California now, turds are a common subject. Especially if you’re talking about San Francisco. I vote for, “Francisco the Turd.” Or just ‘ Frisco.’ But it hardly looks that way now. Nice!

looks great. I wouldn't do anything different (except maybe I would have added a stinger). but love the color you chose.

Now that you mentioned, a stinger would be uber cool and appropriate

Can't wait to see Lazarus next to it's sisters so we can check the fades

I thought the same thing. I wonder how long the actual time took.

    WOW! Beautiful guitar. Congrats, guys.

It has been WAY too long since I've seen one of Kim's threads on a Historic Makeover, and this vintage makeover was great.

Also, it is hard to believe someone ever covered up that great maple top, but I'm glad you guys basically won the lottery on uncovering it!
