• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi Guys,

I do hope I get some fast replies,
because I do have a fast decision to make.

I do have the opportunity to get some brand new Gil Yaron 59 PAFs.
Not the air bucker ones or what they are called. It's his creation on 59 PAFs.
The price is high and I am not sure if the
pickups have the same magic when they are in a Gibson Custom Shop LP and not in one of his guitars.

To make a long question short: does somebody has any experience with his pickups in a Gibson CS LP?

Thanks

No but I have had a pair visit for a few days in a heavily restored 1961 SG- they were terrific. Very ethereal aspects to them. They had a "thing"- bridge had tremendous bite and there neck was just smooth. Sounded great blended. They had a 5% aspect- you could get close with an OX4- but there was more.
