• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hey All, I have been trying to hunt down the production year for a LP my father gifted me years ago. It's a custom, and SN is 615724. According to everything I can find this indicates it’s as early as a 1970 or as late as a 1975. To my understanding this also excludes it from being a 1973. Checking the numbers on the potentiometers shows they are all from 1977. The only other identifying characteristics are that I know it to be a mahogany neck and someone added Schaller/Gibson flip out tuners, most likely added in the 80's. If there is someone who can help me narrow down the year when this was built that would be awesome.

just never seen one start with "6" in 1970. or in 1975. Les Paul anyway.
Other models I could not say.
