Magnet flip on wax potted and pickup?

Hey y’all- I would like to do the Peter Green mod on one of my guitars. I’ve read that the magnet flip is more authentic sounding than changing the wiring. However, I believe the pickup I would like to do the magnet flip on is wax potted.

Do I need to have the pickup repotted after doing the magnet flip?

There is no problem at all just be careful not damage the small wires.

Thank you! That was also a concern of mine. I’ve checked out a few videos on YouTube and was concerned about damaging the wires and about the wax potting.
