• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Back in the day of the dinosaur and white buffalo.

The 80's in Seattle that is.

I busked with a cheapass Fender acoustic.

At Pike Place Market.

Got the badge/permit and ever 'thang.

Played by the pig.

Pike and Western.

And first lower level.

That was when Artis the Spoonman came around on saturdays.

Very talented cat.

Dude tore up the crowd!

I didn't make much money but had the time of my life.

Now I'm down in Georgetown, TX.

More or less retired but...

I'm bored as hell.

I can only catch so many fish.

I'm thinking a Pignose and a Junior.

In the downtown square.

What y'all got?

In NYC they are mostly in the subways now that it is getting chilly out. You have to get a permit from the city to do that down there otherwise the cops kick you out. Some are really good, most are really annoying. There are every kind of musician and singer you can think of. The Pan Flute band used to be at 51st and lex , the karaoke guy at 59th by the R train, the blues band at 34th. Most people just breeze on by. The ones that stop to watch do their youtube vids. I'm sure those musicians have to shake the bugs out of their cases before they bring them home.

Hey if you get a good spot you might make a few extra bucks. Get someone to do a youtube vid of you and you may get your fifteen minutes of fame.

Padraig Cahill was busking and Glen Hansard was in the crowd. Glen came up and they sang Falling Slowly.

Hey TB...Long time no talk to... Thought I would let you know I'm headed back to BC next year to tangle with the salmon and halibut. I'm excited about trying out this new lodge! http://centralcoastadventures.ca

Hola DB!

Looks like a great place to be!

Catchem' up compadre.

My focus of late has been on Tenkara.

And traumatizing little fishes.

Just as much fun to me.

As catching bonefish on the fly.

On a flat on Oahu around the corner from Diamondhead.

Gimme a Pignose, a Jr. and a street corner.

A fly rod and some calm warm blue water.

Thats my heaven.
