    The Cars and Todd Rundgren

I just had to share this video of two of my heroes, Elliot Easton and his brilliant guitar playing (on a historic SG I think!?) and Todd on vocals. I really wish this lineup would have lasted. I know Elliot sometimes reads these boards, it would be so cool if he could tell us something about this partnership !

Todd is a song writing mastermind IMHO, but it's cool to see him in a frontman setting
This is a song from the new album, it's a deep meaningful song this one... No, it's not whiskey in the fucking jar... Philip Lynott

Very cool video--thanks! TR had some 'big shoes' to fill & he did a fantastic job! Really enjoyed that!

There's Elliott playing the Tiki SG.

I saw them in NY out at the Westbury Theater a few years back. Todd was really good with the New Cars and Elliott. What a great show they put on. I wish I'd stuck around after the show, because Eliott came out and talked to a couple of other LPF members who were there.

I thought that version of the band was pretty good. I went to a couple of their rehearsals they had open to friends/family. With both Ric & Ben gone I doubt we'll see anything. Elliot has his "Empty Hearts" which sound great (but need a backup/rhythm guitar.. I'm open Elliot if you go that way...).

I agree! Todd is a wizard and a true star! Did you catch the Utopia reunion? Sadly,
missed it, but the DVD is excellent.

Todd Rundgren was a very good choice to take over for the Late Rick Ocasek and really did a great job

appears to be playing the same guitar in this clip. it;s funny, I think Todd does a better job covering the Ben Orr vocals than Ric did here.
