Replacement jack plate for my 2007 R9?

Hi, folks. My used 2007 R9 came with a metal jack plate which I guess is probably safer than the cream plastic ones but I think I prefer the original look. I don't need to spend a lot of money for something that's extremely vintage correct. So far I've found the two examples below, a regular Gibson one for $7.99:

and a Gibson 'Historic Spec' one for $29.95:

I read that some of these replacement plates don't fit Historic guitars - I guess the screw holes don't line up? Am I going to be OK with either one of these? And I guess the 'Historic Spec' one is going to be thinner - do you folks think it'll make enough of an aesthetic difference to justity the extra expense?

Thanks!

That's like the ones I got years ago at the Arlington Vintage show............it looks good and robust/thick.
Some of the supposedly vintage correct replacement jack plates are far too thin and break in a very short space of time(within 2 years as I've found).
Get one and try it out........the ones I got are a perfect fit and may be not a Gibson part as such.......this one should be fine.

The correct part for a historic reissue is the historic spec part, not the Gibson USA part. Hole spacing is likely the same.

I googled but couldn't find a cream colored metal jack plate - anyone know where I can find one? I was about to say I'm careful enough with my guitars so I wouldn't worry too much about a thin plastic plate but then I saw the video below. I might be keeping the metal one, for now at least!

I've cut very thin sheet metal to the size of the jack plate and placed it under the plastic jack plate when installing. This way it looks completely stock but is way stronger.
