• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Are these original to 2002 68 reissue?

Hi,
A few days ago I traded up a goldtop R7 which I never got along with, for my dream guitar an ebony 68 reissue with nickel hardware.

It was listed as “internal/external original” but that wasn’t the case. An rsguitarworks vintage upgrade kit had been fitted (pots, caps, switch, jack and wiring). That doesn’t bother me as I’d likely do that in the future but I would like to know if the pickups are originals.

Hard to say for sure if they are original as the baseplate stickers are gone. IIRC stock pickups were '57 Classics.
