2007 Gibson Explorer Pro - Guitar of the Week #4

Made this video using my 2007 Gibson Explorer Pro - Guitar of the Week #4. In 2007 Gibson was releasing a special edition guitar every week. I didn't know anything about it at the time, but I found this guitar used at a local guitar shop and snatched her up! I swapped the original Gibson 496r 500t pickups for a set of Seymour Duncan Antiquities, swapped the original pots out for Emerson Pro 500k audio taper pots, put a PIO cap. I've used this guitar in some original recordings (including the video linked above) and it sounds very open and sustains like nothing else.

Anybody else have any of these Guitar of the Week series instruments?

Is the body on this one smaller than a regular Explorer? Sounded good in your hands either way!

Hey thanks! Yeah the "Explorer Pro" models are 90% the size of a standard Explorer, as I understand it. You can check out the full specs of this Guitar of the Week on Gibson's old webpage here: http://archive.gibson.com/en-us/Divisions/Gibson%20USA/Guitar%20of%20the%20Week/Explorer%20Pro/
