it it was actually not too bad- some good Aussie acts- Lloyd Spiegel in particular was fantastic - but there was a disturbing absence of vintage gear which was a little disappointing.

There aren’t any collector events down under- I was hoping we’d see some representation over the weekend.

I attended, the numbers were certainly down, also half the number of booths than previous years with the same gear as last year.

It's a real shame that a show like this aren't bigger.

The biggest issue is the cost of booths, speaking to a friend who had a stall in previous years he said it's just not a viable option for him, he'd need to sell over 5 CS guitars just to break even.

Pricing wasn't competitive either, in most cases more expensive than buying from a store.

    Guitars:
2005 Gibson Custom Shop Jimmy Page Number 1
2014 Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Reissue
2014 Gibson Custom Shop Rich Robinson '63 ES 335
2006 Fender Custom Shop 1951 Nocaster Reissue
2019 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster Reissue
2015 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Jazzmaster Reissue
2015 Gretsch Masterbuilt Stephen Stern 1957 Duo Jet
    2015 Gibson J 35 Acoustic

    Amp:
    Magnatone Twilighter

Only gear highlights were a '59 jazzmaster that was a joy to play and trying out the kemper stage.

    Where are the melbourne bursts?

They should have called me, I'd have provided a bunch of vintage guitars to stir things up a bit.
