• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What do you think of this 57 I put together?

So I bought a white LPJ in 2013, but in 2012 I bought a set of the scratch and dent Hot wound 57 classic and 57 classic plus with Alnico III magnets. I had the pickups put in then and just this year (2019) I bought some Bumble Bee caps and 500 Ohm pots and had it wired like a 50's Gibson. The sound, clarity and tone are amazing. Also I put 2001 Grover Nickel tuners on the head stock, a blank truss cover and a metal Gibson jack plate. I would love to know what you think.

Cool. Can't beat the 50's wiring in my view....even if it is largely psychological as I never use the tone pots :)
