    CITES UPDATE

Great news!!! If passed it looks like rosewood will no longer require CITES for musical instruments and parts...

While it is good that they all decided to meet, the fact that they now postponed the meeting indefinitely is pretty disappointing. All this was initially announced last year, and we are now halfway through this year.

Bureaucracy at its worst...I mean, just get on with your job, you know?

Correct. Bozos. BTW, none of my guitars have any rosewood on them anywhere. Honest. Problem solved. Back to work..

    Re: CITES UPDATE

As far as I'm aware, the amendment isn't applicable to pre-CITES Brazilian Rosewood, so that e.g. import restrictions for vintage guitars to the EU are likely to remain.
