Greetings y'all...im feelin extra STONEY today - Here's some more great shots of The Boys and Their Burst's.

I especially like the Black and white shots of young Mick Taylor with Keith's "borrowed" Burst before he joined the band.

Enjoy :dude:

I'm wondering if he was playing that GT when I saw him in Vancouver July 19, 1966? I only have this pic I stole from the Vancouver Sun newspaper. But this was about a week before TM1 notes that he purchased the '52.

I was going by the info in Andy Babiuk's book...

Keith bought it in '64 at Selmers in London.
It was originally owned by John Bowen guitarist for Mike Dean and The Kinsman. At Selmers , John traded the '59 for a Gretsch Country Gent and Keith happened upon the burst while looking for guitars there.

‘61? I doubt that very much.

Oops - typo , John bought it in '61 and Keith took ownership in '64
The story goes they were all living in a "cold water flat" feeding pocket change into the heat meter circa 1963- no LP's in that band.

Right .... Keef took ownership in 1964 as stated above , which he played on their 1964 US Tour , as well as their 1st Ed Sullivan Show appearance on 10/24/64.

Nowhere was the year 1963 mentioned in the above post or was their "Cold water Flat" :)

Oh the stories they would tell, if those guitars could speak!
Thanks for the pics - and I'm digging the early & later pics of Keith...how his image changed and he became the epitome of an outlaw rock 'n roll guitarist!
