    1970's LP Deluxe Bridge Question.

    Hello,

Trying to help a friend with his LP Deluxe. He purchased it used in the 80's and thinks it is an early 70's model. It came with an aftermarket bridge. Would an ABR be a direct replacement?

Thanks for any help you can provide?

Can't see from that photo but assuming the bridge posts are original, if they screw directly into the wood it would have been an ABR, if they screw into metal bushes fitted into the body it would have been a Nashville bridge.

    Yikes! Looks like ABR1 posts.

I have the "show signatures" box unchecked.

Looks like , pointers on knobs also would say so.

If it was pre-1976 it would be an ABR-1 with either metal or nylon saddles.

a '74 Kalamazoo Standard with chrome ABR-1 with nylon saddles:
